Press release - Law firms file medical monitoring class action law suit against GE HealthcareHUNTSVILLE, AL - Earlier today, two Alabama law firms, Watson, McKinney & Artrip, LLP and Cusimano, Keener, Roberts & Raley, P.C. in association with the California law firm of Owen, Patterson & Owen filed a medical monitoring class action law suit against GE Healthcare in Alabama Federal Court. The lawsuit represents those people who were exposed to excessive amounts of radiation while receiving a CT scan by equipment manufactured by General Electric. Due to the latent nature of the injuries received, for example, brain cancer, the law suit seeks to establish a fund from which medical monitoring expenses can be recouped and money may be paid to claimants even if their injuries do not appear for ten, fifteen, or twenty years. This appears to be the first such action filed in the United States. Those wishing further information about the law suit may contact Eric Artrip at (256) 536-7423 or 1-800-294-5112. |
